Heading of the Section: Causing hurt by act endangering life or the personal safety of others
Overview: This provision is made to protect any danger
happening to human life or the personal safety of any person. So, if any a person is doing any act which endangers human life, then he shall be punished
under this section.
Scope of this section: This section covers all acts which endanger the personal safety of
others. The acts covered in the section should be such that they are rash or
negligent
Punishment for Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others under 337 IPC: The section provides that if any person causes hurt to any person by doing any act which is so rash or negligent that it endangers human life or the personal safety of any person, then he shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both.
