About National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC)

It was established in 1955 to promote and develop micro and small scale industries and enterprises in the country. It was founded as a Government of India agency later made into a fully owned government corporation. National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC) is an ISO 9001-2008 certified Government of India Enterprise under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

Document Required

  • Details of plant & machinery i.e. the date of purchase, the original value of the asset.
  • Ownership Documents that should be self-attested.
  • Declaration from the Proprietor/Director that they do not have any connection with the large-scale unit.
  • Banker’s Report regarding the financial status of the applicant.
  • List of finished goods and the raw material.
  • Copy of the Pan Card.
  • Audited Balance Sheet, P&L, Trading Account.
  • List of places or cities where the services shall be available.
  • Items for which registration is available.

Eligibility

All those enterprises whether micro or small registered with Director of Industries/ District Industries Centre are eligible to register under Single Point Registration Scheme of NSIC.

Micro and Small Enterprises those have been in existence for less than 1 year but have commenced their commercial production to such enterprises registration shall be granted up to limit of ₹ 5 Lakh, which shall be valid for a period of 1 year.

Process

For registering

For registering under this scheme the enterprise shall file an application along with the requisite fees.

Duplicate Copy

A duplicate copy of the application form will be forwarded to the concerned inspecting agency requesting for carrying out the technical inspection.

Technical Report

After the technical report has been received by the NSIC it shall issue a registration certificate.

Who is eligible to get registered with NSIC under Single Point Registration Scheme?

Micro & Small Enterprises are eligible to get registered with NSIC under SPRS.

Yes. NSIC issues Provisional Enlistment Certificate to those MSEs under SPRS who have started the production but not having the audited Balance sheet for the last one year.

Rs. 5 lakh is the monetary limit fixed in provisional registration under SPRS.

Yes, in the Public Procurement Order 2012 service industries are at par with the manufacturing industry.

SPRS Enlistment Certificate is valid for Two Years from the date of issue.

NSIC do not register the traders.

NSIC do not register MSEs engaged in manufacturing of drugs and medicines.
